‘Mitali Express’ arrived at Chilahati in Nilphamari from New Jolpaiguri of India.

The train reached Bangladesh at 2:05pm in Chilahati. After stopped over at Chilahati, the train left the station at 2:45pm for Dhaka.

Among the 12 passengers, four were from Bangladesh and eight were from India in the train.

Railway Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon and his Indian counterpart Ashwini Vaishnaw inaugurated the train.

They flagged off the train from New Delhi at 9:25am. The train will run four days in a week.

Mitali Express will run from New Jolpaiguri’s Haldibari to Dhaka Cantonment. The train has 20 minutes breaks in two sides. Ten minutes break will be given at India’s Haldibari and another 10 minutes at Chillahati in Bangladesh.

If passengers want to go India by Mitali Express, they have to get on to the train from Dhaka.
